Another example. Went to the Apple store yesterday and bought a MacBook Air. The demonstrator/salesperson used a smartphone to place the order, enter the Credit Card, and print the receipt. No cash register involved.
But back at the office, somebody is running the sales and accounting system. And they're using a desktop!
