We've used "gender changers" for a long time in electronics. Pretty
few people need an explanation of what the terms mean.

As far as "political correctness" goes, that's a term used by people
who think that phrases that make other people uncomfortable is fine
with them, and other people ought to just suck it up. It's dismissive,
and rude. If you'd like to discuss further, I'd suggest we take it
[OT] as it is.

"Controller' and "responder" is less fraught terminology, my partner suggests.
