Did you get a resolution to this? I use it, and I KNOW I wrote a readme
about "it will fail unless you do this. You MUST do this." If you're
not already fixed, I'll look it up for you.

I use the VFPEncryption.fll at the core of my framework for generating
16-byte character keys. I used to always use auto-increment integer
keys, but once I rewired the framework, I wouldn't go back. Reason
being is that 1) it's easy to do with disconnected datasets, and 2)
there might be offline processing so autoinc wouldn't work for those.
