Whilst I bang away at this on my own I figured I should throw it out to the collective wisdom. I noticed recently that both CreateObject and NewObject are failing to instantiate an object for Word 2016. GetObject works fine to retrieve a running instance. Excel works fine.
oo=CREATEOBJECT([word.application]) results in OLE error code 0x80080005: Server execution failed. Google fu has failed me so far. If anyone here has had success automating Word 2016, please share your magic tricks. Thanks. -- rk _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/bn4pr10mb09136faad5c9adc034099f0cd2...@bn4pr10mb0913.namprd10.prod.outlook.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
