John: I am looking for any solution that will accomplish what I want. It's a house that is next door to my friend's business. The business is hard wired but has no Internet Access. The Internet is in the house and it is too far for reliable wireless. We have been using antennas and range extenders and everything else and only get about 40% signal strength. We also can't hard wire the Internet due to a pool and patio. The bridge can go in a window that has a great shot to the router and it will work fine. The hard wired computers are pretty far apart, too. So even access points would not work as well as a bridge.
I have the unit that Ted mentioned on hand and I found the article he was talking about so I am going to try that. I will let you know how it works. Is that the original request for help? I thought he just wanted a single router network. ----- Original Message ----- From: "john harvey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'ProFox Email List'" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, November 17, 2006 9:44 PM Subject: RE: [NF] Network Setup Question > Here is a link to a linksys discussion forum that gives you the > information > you seek. > http://forums.linksys.com/linksys/board/message?board.id=Wireless_Routers&me sage.id=14422 > > John [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
