Hey, all. I'm playing with the idea of writing an app for community

as
a shared online database app. Since hosting the database myself right
now
isn't practical, I was wondering if anyone has experience with using a
cloud database, and how to get started. I'm leaning towards VB.Net (as
a
learning project), which makes me think about SQL Azure, but I don't
really
know anything about it. Cost is a big factor here, if for no other
reason
that I don't want to waste much money during the development phase.
Thanks!
I've written VFP apps since 2004 that have used MySQL/MariaDB on the web
and have performed perfectly! (Thanks, Bob Lee for his session at GLGDW
for inspiring me to go that way, and Paul McNett for his
MakeUpdatable.prg in the ProFox archives, and Kevin Cully's help too!)
