Dynamics is the M$ ERP platform. It is massively configurable and little programming is required after you UNDERSTAND what you are configuring to get it to act as you want. We at Ring are in our 11th year with Infor's LN and we probably only have 60% implemented as of now. I am hitting the wall on lacking the logistics system not being implemented yet. When that system is running it will generate output that will make inbound EDI orders correct in the shipping date. Today the order provides the receipt date. >From that date, the logistics system states the shipping date. Too bad that in a not working state the orders show the date the PO was received as the shipping date.
Your system in VFP had what 5-10 years of customization at a minimum right? WAG here but you will need 5 years to get the core of your business running correctly in Dynamics. Only the senior management decides what that core is. Could it be GL, SO, and AR? Or is it Production and raw materials inventory that is more important?
