One thing to remember is that M$ can't "crush" Linux.  Linux is a thing 
that just exists.  A free tool that people can choose to use.

M$ could crush Novell, or RedHat, or some company that requires money to 
run and exist, but Linux just exists.

Linux doesn't have a goal to be on every desktop or server.  I think of 
it this way: Linux is like Science.  Science itself has no goals except 
to create a language to explain the world around us.  Scientists may 
have agenda, but science doesn't.

Linux is the same.  It's only goal is to be a tool to be used.  Linux 
users and Linux company owners may have agenda.

M$ can try to crush Linux, but it isn't a thing that can be crushed.
