A full time job here in this area pays 10 per hr max and after tax's you
make about 360 per week.
It’s a one to two hr commute to san antonio or austin and with the price of
gas, its not feasible right now.

Not trying to make excuses, just realistic.
I am thinking about getting my degree once I pick up enough work to pay the
bills.

That’s why I've become a frequent contributor to craigs list lately <grin>

If you can live on $500 per week then you really ought to go back to school.
Student loans will cover the fees and a part time job will cover the living
expenses. The school can even help with the job.

With a degree under your belt it will be a lot easier to stay competitive.
