What is likely is that if Grigore has his computer 'totally open' to
Microsoft, they've probably already loaded and installed everything they
wanted on his computer. Is that the case Grigore? Do you pretty much have
all the 'default' MS options turned on? Do you allow any and all MS updates
to be automatically placed on your computer?

I suspect David monitors his computer a bit more closely, and perhaps has
MS's 'automatic update' stuff turned off. Perhaps he even uses Zone Alarm
and other non-MS software to monitor and protect his computer.

So, in any event, if someone doesn't let MS do whatever it wants to your
Windows box, they can expect to have some odd things happen. I certainly
block as much as I can that comes from MS and occasionally I'll get a weird
problem (not often though because I'm using less and less software from MS
apart from the base OS).

On the flip side, if someone lets MS 'control' their machine and config,
they probably won't have the same type problems. But then they shouldn't be
surprised when their bank info, credit card data, and personal info get
broadcast across the Internet during the next MS security breach. :-)
