I took a break to catch the even news and 60 minutes. It sounds like
you have found real love. As you and your mate struggle through
difficult times, the relationship will always deepen and strengthen as
you learn to depend on each other more, provided you make it through.

Getting back to the article Michael posted, it seem surreal that a young
man would become so depressed over an online relationship that did not
meet expectations upon meeting in person, that he would take his life.
Expectations created from imaginary fantasies based on emails should not
create such reactions. How can someone become so in love with someone
they have never physically meet?

As a Vietnam Vet lead to fight for God, Country and the defeat of
communism, I understand the emptiness of disillusionment; when the
brutal reality of war begins to bleed through the transparent illusion
of glory; when the truth of war can no longer be denied. Still, how can
someone become so in love in a relationship based on emails? How can
anyone be so naive as to create their own glorious illusion of someone
they have never meet? Without fail the reality will never equal the
fantasy created in our own imaginations, and so it seem that anyone
would have prepared themselves for disappointment. The imagination is
powerful and so suggestible.
