If you are truly all alone in the universe then there is no gravity. All theories exist at the pleasure of a lack of superior knowledge. Virgil is right although the theory of gravity suggests that all objects exert a force on all other objects. The theory also suggests that the magnitude of the force is related to the mass of a particular object. Mass is an artifice invented by humans. Quantum physics is an artifice invented by humans. String theory is an artifice invented by humans. These systems all work well because nothing has completely disproved them ... yet.
