Thanks Dave, You've confirmed my ideas re OO. (I don't think your error was far from the mark either! A Freudian slip perchance?)
As far as the OS is concerned they have a fairly extensive trading arm who will be funding most of the purchase. They want XP for its native USB support and increased security. I have to say that with an open broadband connection on these machines I would be uncomfortable without the latest security patches. I also want them to have the machines installed and networked by someone who knows what they are doing (allegedly) - as far as I am concerned networking is a black art and not one I practice so all practitioners should be treated accordingly. :-) John Weller 01380 723235 07976 393631 > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dave Crozier > Sent: 24 January 2007 13:10 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [NF] XP- Home or Pro > > > John, > I guess it must be really difficult to approve the purchase of > something at > £0 as opposed to purchasing something at £300 <BG>. > > The only problems I've found are with fairly complicated word documents > which sometimes get a little screwed up when looking at them in > Word, but I > must admit it is a very, very, very small percentage. > _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
