Subject: [OT] Democrats and Reality - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For the last decade and a half, the Democrat party has pursued an intentional strategy of insulating its base from reality. The goal has been to create a permanent block of loyal Democrat voters who will dutifully internalize whatever the party's leaders tell them. To accomplish this, the Democrat political machine has engaged in a relentless and systematic assault on all of the institutions in our society that have traditionally served as arbiters of truth. They have attacked the press, the judiciary, academia, and even science itself. And they've been remarkably successful; we've now reached a point where much of the Democrat base still believes anything the Democrat party feeds them. Any unpleasant news reports can be dismissed as the product of A Vast Right Wing Conspiracy bias. Any inconvenient studies can be explained away as the work of Republican/conservative academic elitists. And any adverse court rulings can be chalked up to VRWC judicial activism. In short, if it didn't come from the mouth of Al Frankenstein or the Billary itself, it's automatically suspect. [snip] This strategy has an inherent vulnerability, though. Call it the Pied Piper problem. If you train a bunch of people to follow the Leader reflexively, they're likely to follow him right out of town (or right off a cliff). It also is dangerous to the sanctity and sovereignty of our country. This is the problem now confronting BOTH sane members of the Democrat party. (Let us know if they really exist, or are just a figment) For years now, they've been telling the American people--among other things--that everything in the world is going terribly, and that it's because of George Bush and/or conservatives. The vast majority of the American people have long since tuned this message out, but not the Republican base. President Bush may only have a 28% approval rating, but those 28% represent the true-believers. While these Republicans are aware that many of the Republicans in the past congress looked and acted like Democrats, they were unelected. And those are the voters who are going to decide who the next Republican presidential nominee will be. RUDY, RUDY, RUDY . . . . Republicans are in great shape because Rudy Giuliani will garner many liberal votes, while Billary Won't be able to buy conservative votes. The reality is the Democrat party has no solution to The Iraq problem other than cut-n-run and is the same on any other issue you may want to discuss. Negativism and denial reign supreme in the socialist/communist/ Democrat party. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
