I always found it ironic that schools try to teach kids that
diversity is good, and that being different is OK, but then expect
everyone to learn the exact same way at the exact same time.
I have two kids, and they couldn't be more different in how they
learn. One, like me, can visualize and manipulate mental images; the
other doesn't have the slightest idea what I mean when I ask him to
picture a number line in his head.
