I should sue the bastards! I changed my entire strategic direction last
year and pushed real hard to cut all of my interfaces over to the M$ Live
technology environment, sang the praises of M$ Live to all who would listen,
prepared all kinds of technology overview documentation for my clients, gave
presentations across the USA on how this would turn my clients' business
processes on edge, promised all kinds of cool new things to save my clients
money. So, this is the committed thanks I get from M$! Gawd! Another year
burned off and nothing to show for it... I know, I will just wait for their
Next Big Thing. Yeah, let me try "this other" new & improved kool-aid
now... Maybe this time M$ will be telling the truth re: their commitment to
their FUD-ware.

Nothing new, same old crap. It seems those of us that were around long
enough to remember the "Great .Com Technology Explosion" are not being
listened to by the folks who pull the investment purse-strings and pay for
our services, and viewed as nay-sayers by the new, naive pups coming into
the work force. I wonder how many folks burned off a large investment
chasing the M$ Live hallucination, and really can't afford to lose that
investment. I suppose that is why I avoid being on the "Bleeding Edge",
eh?

If I tried to get away with this kind of thing, promising features to help
retain and gain clients, I would be sued and screwed three ways to Sunday,
and rightfully so. There would be no surviving. Yet, who dares to speak
against the beast? Then again, this is still quite pervasive in our
industry. Vaporware, FUD-ware, promises in the dark ....
