Don't know about that but like I said earlier I do this with automation 
pretty often. Typically I'll be adding data to a temporary table or 
cursor and then using the resulting thing to add in to its final 
destination. If you go this route, there are a few gotchas. You need to 
check for null values in the Excel cells. You can use the text cell 
property if the cell contains less than 1024 characters; otherwise you 
have to use the value property or your data will get truncated. OTOH if 
you have numbers stored as text, you have to use the text property or 
Excel will make assumptions for you about the cell contents.
