I'm setting up a field in a MySQL5 table and trying to use the bit type, with a default of b'1' -- however, my UI tool (SQLYog5) does not like me trying to give a default value of b'1' . Am I doing it wrong? According to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/bit-field-values.html, it looks like my notation should be correct?
In MySQL4, I had been using tinyint(1) with the value being either 1/0, equivalent to VFP's logical fields. I was giving bit a shot, but my plan B is to go back to using tinyint(1). Ideas? tia! --Michael -- Michael J.
