Yes, definitely. 17" CRTs are 90w versus 35w for 17" LCDs based on a
quick Google search...

Even with my relatively young age, my eyes certainly aren't the best--
I experience considerably less eye-strain with LCDs versus CRTs. That
alone was enough reason for me to never use a CRT again.
