Therefore, flag burners are not protected by the 1st amendment either, but rather it protects the rights of those who would speak out against those middle-aged hippy dumbasses and professional malcontents who burn our national symbol on the pretense of patriotic policy disagreement. I get that. Great point, Ed! ;) I'm also very pleased to see you endorse the right of corporations to vote with their pocketbook---however, aren't you concerned that this whole Imus thing was blown out of proportion, and may be ushering in a new era of corporate censorship, as the threat of government imposed rules of "valid speech" vs "invalid speech" becomes greater? That's, honestly speaking, the threat I see, despite the fact that I agree wholeheartedly that Imus is/was an incurable dumbass and quite possible a genuine racist, like most of his rich white liberal pals), and probably wasn't worth the $$$ the advertisers invested in his radio presence (such as it was). - Bob > >-- Ed Leafe >-- http://leafe.com >-- http://dabodev.com > > > > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
