I'm not sure that it would bother me.  I KNOW it wouldn't bother me to 
think of MY body being cut up.  In fact, if I had my druthers, (and I 
can't, since it's illegal), I'd rather have my body ran through a wood 
chipper and spread over the forest floor, so as to provide compost and 
return SOMETHING back to the earth.  Seriously.

And if you're about to be turned into a small heap of ashes anyway, does 
it really matter if how many pieces you're in a few minutes before?

I do understand that it would bother a lot of people, and I would 
totally respect their feelings.  I'm just saying it wouldn't bother me.  
I would also never advocate it being forced on someone, either.  Also, 
some religions (such as Orthodox Judiasm) would ban it, and I would 
respect that as well.  Although, I think the religions that ban it would 
also ban cremation, as well.
