Pete,
What is wrong with that? Before the non gelling diesel came along I always
used to put a gallon of Petrol into the Landrover fuel tank if we expected
really low temperatures. Did it for 15 years with no problems. Ewe even used
to leave night lights under the fuel tank to keep it warm if it got really
cold!

Not any more now though as I moved from the hills to the supposedly
civilized areas!
