Derek,

The controlling "agency" here is the Federal Reserve. To find
out the down and dirty just go to your bank.
Most (there are some small players that don't handle ACH)
institutions will be able to walk you through all
the gory details.

An interesting document that has some of the 'details' of using
ACH is here ...

http://www.frbservices.org/Retail/pdf/ACH-AgreeInstruction.pdf

If all else fails ... call your 'local' Federal Reserve Branch
and they can direct you to the person that handles
ACH at that branch.

HTH

Best,

Francis I. Coppage, Jr.

Subject: EFT/ACH transfers?

Hello. Does anyone have experience with the technical side of ACH
transfers? We're looking into doing something that may involve
the
careful movement of money between bank accounts of store
franchises
for our POS system, and I believe ACH is the standard electronic
funds
transfer mechanism used in the USA. I can't find a website for
ACH/Automated Clearing House... Has anyone done EFT's? Thanks.
