Andrew, 1. Is there a "server backup" such as Arcserve running?
2. Is there a terminal on the network that has a rogue VFP process running that has errored out but is not displaying a GUI that is holding the tables open? 3. is there Virus checker running a full scan on the server files which has not terminated correctly? Hi I've got a client who is now unable to backup up his files. It worked fine last week. He uses my backup system, which uses C Boyds vfpcompression. This checks each table into a zip file. The error appears to be that the files are in use, thus cannot be backedup. It is a standalone machine. He has Norton on it, but has not updated He has the multi company version. Each company is kept on a separate folder. All the companies are experiencing this problem. What could be putting a 'in use' flag on the tables?
