Certain religious groups give ample instruction (eg propaganda) to the
children with regards to right and wrong, but in many cases the
distinctions between right and wrong is corrupted and define in the
context of how the children can be used to advance the power structure
of the organization which controls them.

If the children are taught that what is really right is wrong and what
is really wrong is right, the children grow up with a perverted sense of
reality and of the world. They become very psychologically sick people
in that what they believe is not true or representative of reality, but
how is a child to know? The child is created in the image of the
teacher, and if the teacher is sick, so will be the child.

It is up to society to define decency and teach the children respect for
all people regardless of race, religion, sex, or national origin, and
that is exactly what the fathers who founded America did. All this is
embodied in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Prayer is not
allowed in school because it would be difficult to treat all religions
impartially within the public school environment and there could be
contention between the different religions, so prayer in school become a
prerogative for each individual school student as a private matter.
