Autoexec was only started in the root directory "C:\"

You can call another autoexec.bat by adding it to the one in c:\autoexec.bat

Windows started changing things, but I don't remember which version and they
placed it in the windows folder I think, although I no longer remember.

Not sure, but if the answer is "both batch files" then the last one to 
run will take precedent over anything prior, iirc.
