I did just that this weekend, a full install of XP after my hard drive died
the day before a week-long business trip.   

After installing SP I hit Windows Update... 74 'Critical' updates, don't
remember how big the download was but it took a LONg time to complete...

Sad part is I'll probably be doing it again soon, after I get a new mega-GB
drive to replace the one I just lost.    Oy!
