Eurico, As Bill has pointed out if you need to access the serial ports at low level then use mscomm32.
I have done lots of work with this activeX and if you need any help then just put out a call and I'll send you some source code. However I thought you simply wanted to access the printer as a standard printer in which case use the Mode command then you can simply address "LPTn" to send data.
