Basically, MS has to do this to justify ridiculously high prices for practically no technical advancement in the OS. I'll betcha the most technically challenging code they had to create was the user interface stuff - and, of course, that goes into all versions. Being software developers we should know it doesn't cost MS any extra to put all software features in all versions. They simply take things out to make it sound like their all-inclusive version is actually worth the money. It's one of the oldest marketing tricks in the book. And, sadly, it seems most consumers (in the US at least) are still too dumb to see through it. But it seems others around the globe are getting smarter and rejecting MS. So, at some level, I suppose there's still hope for the human race. ;-) -Charlie _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
