I think that Simon knows what the public will buy.  It's all business that
he presents from MPOV.  Now I don't watch/waste my time with Idol.  So it's
limited experience in seeing him interact.  

Some of his comments touch on their musicality, and considering it's a music
contest that is pretty poor.  He has terrible critique skills presented on
tv as well.
