I have been in many opera houses from world-class to second-tier (like our own Minnesota Opera), to definitely third-tier. The last are still good, and any tenor I have heard in them could out-sing this guy. Unlike pop music, where all you need is a passable voice, a pretty face and big rack (or shoulders depending on gender), there is a huge gulf between excellent opera singers and the professionals. This is kind of like pro golf or baseball. There are 1,000's of excellent players rooting around in training leagues and tournaments that just don't have what it takes to be among the elite. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
