The objection that I've been hearing is just this; if I am a network
administrator, and I have a mixture of Mac, Windows, and Linux, and I
get a tech support call of a problem running software on a Mac, I
couldn't begin to troubleshoot it in some sort of VM. I'd have to have
a Mac available to me, in some manner.

Yes, this company could go out an buy a Mac which achieves Apple's goal
of selling hardware, but it also creates a barrier of entry for this
company.

As a small (tiny) software development company, it delays me from
releasing Mac based versions of my software until I perceive a real need
for it in the market, as opposed to speculating that there is a need in
the market.

Apple can do what they want with their hardware and software and
licenses. I don't hate them for it. Apple just may not be for me and
my business, yet.
