I just don't see a disappearance of the middle-class.

My dad supported my mom and I on very low wages.  He
did it by never buying a new car, in fact he drove
mostly clunkers.  My parent's idea of vacation was a
week at the Jersey Shore.  They lived within their
means, something people today don't want to do.
