Hi foxgang.
I have a customer who's IT people have put the data on a server that has
write ahead cache on and they say it improves the server file system so it
stays. I say it’s the reason they are losing data including whole files.
Does anyone know what can be done to resolve this. Its in VFP9 which one
would have thought should have worked with Microsoft products but obviously
not
Any advice other than get rid of the customer.
The IT say the file server is connected via 2 HBA to a HP MSA1000 SAN
whatever that is. Dual connection managed by HP Secure Path software.
Allen
