Write-caching (or read-caching for that matter) ought to be a feature
between the server and its disks, and not of concern to anyone
speaking to the server, which ought to be able to resolve if it should
be answering the request from cache or disk. This is a bug or
misconfiguration with the network driver software, network client, or
hardware configuration.
