There's a white paper on the hw.com site for this, I think.

settings in the file explorer. Like most M$ names, "Simple Sharing" is
not what it claims to be: it's not simple, and it's not about sharing,
it's about not be able to share. Turn it off if enabled.

5. You don't explicitly mention it, but I presume you can log into the
PDC and get shares from there. Do you have your XP workstation
configured to log in by itself (to the local workstation) or have you
set it up to join the domain and log in to using the domain
credentials? That may be preventing you from attaching to the
standalone antique.
