Well, we may just have encountered a Plan B.

A friend has recommended a general contractor that wants to help us get into
our house without having to liquidate absolutely everything. He is offering
a deal where we have him finish the house and he works with the lenders so
he can be paid AFTER the certificate of occupancy is available.

That would solve the problem, because once we have the final we can
refinance and pay all remaining vendors on the house.

I'm very hopeful that this might be the miracle we've been looking for.

This will still be expensive, but not nearly as expensive as the other
options we've been looking at thus far.

Maybe we can start those classes in the fall after all.

I know it seems silly to post info about our plight, but talking to people
has been producing leads for options to try. You never know what corner a
solution will come from.
