Hi Adam! Every now and then there is a case reported with an attention getting wait time, which is most likely reported because it IS attention getting. The press in the US often implies that the most egregious cases of anything are typical. When they make a huge mistake they retract it way inside where no one sees it. Of course, the press in the UK NEVER does that.
