Ah... but local is part of global... at least in my local part of the globe... 
and hence, cannot be ignored.  Beyond that can we only say something is science 
if it yields the results we are wanting it to yield?  It's sort of like the 
lefties claiming a monopoly on compassion by defining it according to their 
Robin Hood complex.
