Hi all Hope someone can help.
All going well with my purchase orders module until it came to printing the purchase order. The idea is to print the purchase order to a PDF printer then email the file as an attachment to the factories in India and China. The input form works well and mimics the existing work done manually using excel. The form consists of a group of text box/combo boxes for inputting PO Number, Customer details, Delivery dates, Designer etc. the two grids for entering A) the products ordered and B) the Packaging associated with the products. The on the bottom a group of text box/edit boxes for Notes etc. The first block of PO's I saw did not show packaging materials so my first stab at a PO in report writer was simple, the header and footers linked to the text box, edit box, combo boxes and the detail band used the table used for the grid. My problem is: how do I get two detail bands to show the contents of the two tables used by the two grids. The help file talks about being able to do it with a table and two child tables but I can't get my head round that at the moment. I have got it working as a tempory measure using Excel OLE Automation poking the data individually into an Excel spreadsheet Then printing this to the PDF Printer but this is quite slow. Please let me know if you need any more information. I can give access to my machine or talk on the phone free if that would help. TIA.
