I'm not sure I personally care about syncing up to the desktop. But 
maybe others here would be. I didn't know what type of client side apps 
the Palm talks to. Well, we're all standardized on Fedora, so one 
solution will fit all of us, whatever that might be.

My plan is to use a web-based app, like gCalendar, that can be accessed 
both via desktop but also via the mobile. I hear you, Richard, about the 
tiny screen being an exercise in frustration, but it'd still be access, 
compared to not having any at all. I would expect to do 95% of editing 
the calendar from the desktop and use the mobile for r/o access. It'd 
also be nice to have multi-person communications to alert about changes 
to the calendar.

Now that #4 and #5 are in school all day, the calendar around here is 
just a nightmare to maintain. :) This is truly the killer app for us.
