Dual boot as long as one of them is Linux, yes, it's pretty easy. But as I recall, Windows sure does like being installed first. That's French for "I spent a week trying to get WIndows installed on a Linux box and found the best way was to format World: and start over with a Windows box that I then added Linux to." How a Windows box would react when adding ANOTHER Windows to... dunno, but I bet it'd be pretty scary. Kinda like having Bill Gates in front of you in a serve yourself buffet. OK, back to the original question... first things first. You do not have enough RAM or hard disk space or processor speed or vidcard muscle, to say nothing of the patience. So I would argue you'd need a new box with all the muscle you can afford. Start with RAM. Then (opposed to popular wisdom), lots of CPU. And then plan on 40GB just for Vista. Or maybe 50. Oh, and then put more RAM in, just in case. Put Vista on first, then add Linux, and use it as your Linux box except'in when you need Windows. (This comes from someone who does NOT get along with VMs.) Whil _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
