From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ajit Abraham
You mentioned that you did not have much success with Crossloop. Was it disconnection or slow speed? _Ajit Abraham Mainly getting it to work in the first place. I Admit I didn't try too hard after a couple of attempts I gave up and both of those were with clients where I hadn't been able to connect with LogMeIn. In both of those cases I was trying to connect to install my software on Computers purchased from elsewhere one a Dell and the other from PC World. Without asking me they approached there IT Departments to see if installing LogMeIn would invalidate there warranty. They said yes but wouldn't if they installed it for them. These conversations went on prior to the purchase of the computers. In both cases whatever they had done, LogMeIn didn't work so I tried CrossLoop, couldn't get that to work either so sent them the software on CD. Anybody viewing this near Edinburgh and wants to drop in and save me a large round trip? The other one was near Belfast and he took it into a local PC Shop as Dell didn't want to know and they sorted it by doing a full restore. Incidentally losing some of his data which he hadn't backed up as they told him he wouldn't need to. Cheers Peter Peter Hart Computer P.S. Thanks Gill for your comments, I have done that but find it easier to log onto LogMeIn from their end and log into my computer then run file manager _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
