There are too many issues associated with email archiving as far as compliance and security for me to try to do something on my own with VFP.
I'm looking for a canned product where someone else has figured out all the regulatory storage requirements required by legislation and litigation. I think most of these use MS SQL server for the data, probably because of security, and size... It may take a few more years but it looks to me like the storage, retrieval, and backup of emails is going to become a major part of many smaller type companies like ours.
