I guess I will have to agree to disagree with Ed on the Sally Field
being censored on the Emmys show this last Monday. I did find another
web site that thought that Fox is behind the "war machine" that maybe
the producers/directors were eager to do what they could to try to shut
her up. Of course, it back fired and Sally said she didn't really care
as she would have liked to have said more 4 letter words about that
issue. There is the other issue as to why does anyone care what Sally's
or any other celebrities' political views has no impact on my life.

>When she was pressed for further comment, she added, "Too bad. That's a
shame. And I think I probably
>shouldn't have said the 'god' in front of the 'damn.'

>"If they bleep it, oh, well. I'll just say it somewhere else."

>Technically, Field's censored words are not profane. A 2004 FCC ruling
specifically stated no objection to
>the use of "goddamn" on TV when making a judgment on the uproar over
Bono swearing at the Golden Globes in >2003 where he used more colorful
language.

The main issue I have is the media censorship has gone crazy. Prime
example is when I was listening to the radio on the way from work
yesterday. The song 'Rockstar' by Nickelback comes on which I happen to
like. But during the song they bleep out the words: ass, asshole, and
every time they sing the word _drug_! I mean when did the word DRUG
become profane? If the radio station owners don't agree with the words
in the song then don't play the song! Don't ruin the song by bleeping
words in the song to be PC! Yet, on the FX channel they can put up a MA
L (Mature Audience/Language) screen and say Sh!t all they want...
