In some ways, and I don't like them, this is somewhat acceptible. As an
employees behavior does reflect somewhat on the company. For instance, we
recently had an elementary school gym teacher, and county supervisor loose his
jobs because of something he did on his own time. For some reason the people
felt that a man who molested his 16 year old step daughter was unfit for either
position. How closed minded of them as his behavior had nothing to do with his
job performance in either setting! BTW, he was a D.

But this brings up another point about jobs being a form of voluntary
servitude. Most people have them. However when you analyze the word job, it
can be seen as Jackass Of the Boss or Just Over Broke, you might want to look
into some situation where you are not quite as controled by the guy who gives
you the pay check. The point being that if you go into someones work site, do
work that they specify, come to the office at the time they specify, go to
lunch when they specify and go home when they specify, you've already given up
much of your personicity... you probably shouldn't whine about a little more.
The boss is already determining your lifestyle by the money he has decided to
pay you. Wanting the freedom to do drugs when you've already given up so much
is penny wise and pound foolish.
