Remember DOS commands? Or If you know a windows explorer replacement that you can run as Administrator. Windows explorer and Internet Explorer always drop back to least privileged user, unless you turn off the UAC.
If it were Vista Business, and you connected to an Active Directory, you could log in as the Network Administrator. This scenario turns off UAC without a restart. Just logoff and back on to an regular user. I've gotten used to the UAC being on. I only hit the dialog about 2 times a week; now that I've gotten things installed and running. Visual Studio 2005 requests to be run with Administrator privileges (just to compile/run the examples). To prevent my beta install of Satellite Forms from reinstalling the older version back on, I need to start it from the command window. These are just occasional annoyances for me. Likely after I transfer the files I will turn it back on.
