Heh, I seem to recall Derek was doing a lot of stuff with "kiosk" type
systems. I.e. dumbed down PC equipment. A lot of his bugs were in regards
to video issues. MS never did move VFP's 'visual' components over to use
the "windows built-in" components, so VFP always had quirks in that area.
And I imagine kiosk hardware is anything but standard with updated video
drivers etc. I think he also had problems with VFP's concept of "Views",
etc. But the problem there is he was doing things the MS-recommended way -
which is actually a backwards step with loss of control where VFP is
concerned. IMO.

I imagine he'll hit problems in .Net pretty soon to as they actually get
into real work. At my main client's site there are about 20 developers
pounding away at .Net and not a day goes by where several of them spend a
few hours or more trying to work around some crash or other unexpected
result of their .Net code. <shrug> Grass always looks greener .... and
sounds greener with constant harping in the ears.
