Ouch! I usually try not to slam the door on my way out, not just
because it's likely to hit me in the a$$, but 'cause I hate having to
meekly crawl back in at some later date.

Derek: so long and thanks for all the fish. It's been a fun ride. I
wish you the best in mastering your new set of tools. Thanks for what
you've contributed.

"It's the poor craftsman who blames his tools..." even though it's a
natural inclination to do so. For example, I've been struggling with
Ruby on Rails for a few months now. (Luckily, there's lots to do on
this project, so I've been helping out with CSS, UI design, project
management and Javascript while working through my learning
disability... and learning from the maestros.) The language is stilted
to my mind, an ugly way of going about things. Reminds me of my
experience with Perl. Python, otoh, seems to flow much more naturally.
I think it has to do with mindset and attitude, so that some tools
just fit your hand better than others. To each their own.
