Very silly point. It was the UN who authorized the original
invasion, and it was the UN who specifically stated that there was no
evidence that Iraq was in violation of the cease-fire. We then had
Colin Powell do his infamous smoke-and-mirrors presentation before
the UN, and even that failed to convince them.
